Come “tri” a great adventure in the heart of the Pennsylvania Wilds! The second annual “Great Island Adventure Triathlon” is scheduled for Saturday, June 28, 2008, just outside of Lock Haven, Clinton County. The overall 23-mile course takes participants along the beautiful West Branch of the Susquehanna River for a kayak/canoe paddle, followed by a bicycle road course along country roads full of grueling ups and downs and hairpin turns. The final leg of the event is a run along Lock Haven’s scenic levee riverwalk. The Triathlon gets underway at 8:00 a.m. Pre-registration through June 20th is only $35 per person (individuals and teams welcome). Hyner View Trail Challenge - A beautiful course in the PA Wilds of western Clinton County, PA! The tough event is 15.6 miles long with 3169 feet of elevation gain. This is the yin to the Megatransect yang.

A 34 mile event is planned for June 23, 2007 near Pittsburgh: Rachel Carson Trail Challenge. This is a great one - don't miss it! Last year there were about 550 starters.

The Brandywine Trail End-to-End Hike is set for April 14, 2007. This is a 35.5 mile hike from Ludlow's Corner to Brandywine State Park near Wilmington, DE. This is a beautiful route and is highly recommended!

The One Day Hike is celebrating its 31st anniversary on April 28, 2007. This C&O Canal towpath hike that culminates in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, has three versions: the 100K starting in Washington DC, the 80K starting near Potomac Md. and the 50 K starting at Edwards Ferry.



The Dam Half is a challenging ½ marathon trail race covering beautiful trails in RB Winter State Park and Bald Eagle State Forest.
